Sports Traumatology is a fundamental part of the cultural and professional preparation of the graduate in Sports Sciences and Techniques; pathologies of the musculoskeletal system related to sporting gestures in the various disciplines and to traumatic episodes in particular represent the largest part of professional commitment in the future work. Complete knowledge, appropriate to one's professional profile, of traumatic sports pathologies is the target of the teaching module.
Course that analyzes the main joint, muscular, capsuiloligamentous and bone traumas of simple and complex characteristics in various contact and non-contact sports activities, analyzing the pathogenetic mechanisms also in relation to external factors (terrain, footwear, training intensity, technical sports gesture-specific).
Acquire knowledge of the main pathologies of traumatological interest, in their general and particular aspects, in the various sporting activities, in the various disciplines, after an in-depth biomechanical approach to the articulation and sporting gestures, especially affecting the main joints (shoulder, knee, ankle).

Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, should contact the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liaise and arrange the specific teaching methods so that the learning aims and outcomes may be met.

Oral exam as part of the integrated evaluation test with a weighted average grade with the other modules.
Students must demonstrate knowledge of the established program. The teacher will include possession of the discipline in the interview.
