OVERVIEW

The Integrated Course 'Technical aspects of sports performance 1' consists of the following 3 modules:

• Sports sciences and techniques for the disabled

• Science and Techniques of Team Sports

• Football

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of the course the student acquires the teaching techniques and tools for the management of sports activities with people with disabilities and knows the various types of deficits: physical, intellectual and relational, sensorial. In particular, the student, evaluating its importance, acquires a higher level of emotional awareness, a fundamental aspect in the management of relational dynamics with people with disabilities. The student learns the different communication techniques aimed at managing the activities also through the presence, in the module, of a part of theoretical intervention to be carried out in the classroom and a part of practical intervention to be carried out in the gym. Furthermore, the student knows and acquires the various methodologies of adapted and non-adapted sports activities, and the following unstructured activities: objectives, planning and programming, method of conducting unstructured situations, contents, evaluation. Finally, the student knows the rules and is able to use and adapt the teaching methodology of team play in different situations of deficit, also through an appropriate management of motor interventions with people with disabilities, paying particular attention to the dynamics of relationships and communication in the conduct of motor interventions aimed at people with deficits (mental, physical and sensory). At the end of the course the student: is able to analyze team sports from a physical point of view and from a technical-tactical point of view through notational analysis and match analysis; - knows the main training methods of Technical, Tactical and Physical preparation used by high-level teams in the most important Team Sports practiced in Italy; - will be able to use the sports performance analysis tools not only for the control and planning of training, but also for scientific research applied to sport; - will be able to plan training based on the level, age and gender of the different groups of players; - know the organizational structure of the technical staff and professional specializations in team sports; - knows the regulatory principles for the construction and management of the Team in the various Club and National situations both at the youth and senior level. In this course, the teacher gives lessons in theory and technique of sporting activity through lectures and technical experience on the playing field.

TEACHING METHODS

Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, should contact the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liaise and arrange the specific teaching methods so that the learning aims and outcomes may be met.
