OVERVIEW

The internship gives to the students the opportunity to put knowledge and competences they are acquiring in their university education into practice in a work environment.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The main objective of internships is to bring students into contact with work environments that can constitute their future working horizon, thus favoring on the one hand the maturation of a more aware knowledge of the skills required in the chosen professional field for the internship or internship, and on the other hand allowing students to test the knowledge acquired during their studies in the field.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

Participation in internship activities will enable students to:

– apply the knowledge and skills being acquired in the training course in a work environment

– verify in practice which type of job is more in line with their expectations.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

According to their inclinations, students can choose the type of public or private institution or company in which to activate an internship project, which will be submitted for approval to the Course.

EXAM DESCRIPTION

The company tutor and the university tutor periodically monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the internship, at the end of which they complete a final questionnaire. The university tutor communicates the positive conclusion of the internship to the "Other activities" and internships Commission (Proff. Elena Cimarosti and Serena Perrone), which proceeds with the registration in the students’ careers.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The internship does not entail the assignment of a mark. The final evaluation of the tutors takes into consideration the following aspects:

– achievement of the objectives set in the project

– adequacy of initial knowledge and skills of the intern

– level of competence achieved at the end of the internship

– level of motivation, interest and participation of the trainee during the internship

– usefulness for carrying out the internship activities of knowledge acquired by the interns in their university education.
