EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

The test will be oral in the form of an interview with questions relating to the content of the texts indicated in the bibliography.

An intermediate written test is planned, on a voluntary basis, on the subjects of GP Romagnani's book and the first part of V Criscuolo's textbook. Indicatively, this test will be held in November 2024: it is reserved for frequent participants only and the validity of the intermediate assessment expires in September 2025.

Those who take the intermediate written test will complete the examination orally, preparing the last part of the Criscuolo handbook (chapters 21-31).

ASSESSMENT METHODS

As can be seen from the section on ‘examination methods’, there are two modes of assessment. One can take the entire examination orally, or one can take the intermediate written test and then finish with an oral examination on the last part of V Criscuolo's textbook. Those who have entered the exam for only 6 cfu (and are attending students) can decide to take the intermediate written exam or to take an oral exam preparing only Criscuolo's textbook.

In the examination, which will be held orally, one or more specific topics contained in the indicated texts will be proposed to the candidate. The candidate will be asked to illustrate these topics with a critical spirit, in a correct and articulate manner and using appropriate language; his or her ability to establish significant links with other topics dealt with in the same text or addressed during the lessons will also be tested.

The intermediate written test will consist of a grid of questions on some fundamental themes and moments in modern history (3 open questions: one relating to a topic dealt with in GP Romagnani's book and two relating to topics dealt with in V Criscuolo's textbook).
