Know the fundamentals of parasitology, the biology of parasites and related diseases.
The biochemical,ecological, epidemiological and pathological aspects of parasites in general will first be reviewed, and then we will move on to a detailed discussion of the different parasites of humans by examining their respective cycles of development, spread, pathogenic action and related host reaction, diagnostic methodologies and guidance on preventive strategies.
Teaching consists of 10 hours of face-to-face lectures on all topics in the program. These topics are illustrated by the lecturer through PowerPoint presentations that are shared on Aulaweb.
In the case of Health Emergency, lectures may be conducted remotely in telematic mode using the Teams platform and in any case according to University guidelines.
Attendance at lectures is compulsory, as per the Teaching Regulations.
Students with valid certifications for Specific Learning Disorders (SLDs), disabilities or other educational needs are invited to contact the teacher and the School/Departmental Disability Liaison at the beginning of the course to agree on possible teaching arrangements that, while respecting the teaching objectives, take into account individual learning patterns.

PARASITOLOGY
The end-of-course exam consists of an oral test on the topics covered by the Lecturer in class. To pass the exam it is necessary to have a sufficiency in all disciplines of the Integrated Course. When the educational objectives have not been met in all disciplines, the exam must be taken again in its entirety.
In case of medical emergency, exams will be held in online teaching mode or otherwise according to University guidelines.
Verification of learning takes place through the final oral examination which aims to ascertain the student's actual acquisition of the expected learning outcomes. In order to pass the exam, the student must correctly answer three questions pertaining to the exam program. In order to pass the exam, a sufficient answer will be required for each of the topics covered in the questions.
