SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The typology of the elective teaching activity (ADE) can be very varied and can configure monographic courses, interactive seminars, extra-university internships, conferences, participation in research projects, attendance at laboratories also of affiliated institutions.

• The student freely chooses the ADEs that best correspond to his professional and cultural interests, as long as they are related to the curricular disciplines.

• The student chooses in-depth study of topics related to the curricular disciplines, but not included in the educational programs of the core curriculum.

• Any transversal ADEs must be approved by the Teaching Coordinator and the Internship Coordinator who will assess their appropriateness for training the role of laboratory technician.

They can be proposed by the Professors of the study program or by the Coordinators on the basis of specific requests for further study by the students or by the detection of the need for further studies on topics covered in the frontal lessons, above all with demonstration of manual analytical techniques now in disuse in laboratories that are highly automated.

There are a total of 6 training credits (CFU) available for the ADEs, which necessarily pertain to the curricular disciplines and must be distributed over the course of 3 years.

The value of the training credits is determined as follows:

- Supplementary internship: 1 ECTS/16 hours

- Monographic courses, seminars, conferences, conventions, guided discussions on clinical cases: 1 CFU/8 hours,

- Internship at foreign universities or hospitals (at least 4 hours a week): 2 credits/15 days

Students will be able to view and register for the ADE at the link: https://medicina.servizionline.unige.it/

The ADEs cannot be held during the periods dedicated to the lessons.
