EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

The Degree exam consists in a demonstration of practical ability in managing a situation inherent to the specific professional profile (practical test) and in the dissertation of a theoretical-applicative-experimental paper (discussion of the thesis).

The graduation mark is determined by the average of the marks obtained in the curricular exams, the evaluation of the practical test and the thesis and the possible evaluation of other activities with methods established by the Degree Course Council and detailed in the Teaching Regulations.

The details of the scores awarded and the methods for calculating the final grade are illustrated in the Educational Regulations of the cohort to which they belong.

The following parameters contribute to determining the degree mark:

- the average of the marks obtained in the curricular exams, including the marks obtained in the traineeship activities, (expressed in hundredths),

- points for carrying out periods of study abroad recognized by the same course of study, attributing to these periods 1 point which can be extended by a further 0.5 points in case of extension of the periods, for a maximum score of 1.5 points.

- points for each honors “cum laude” obtained in exams (0.2 points for honors “cum laude”, up to a maximum of 2 points),

- the points awarded for the duration of the studies (0.5 points less for each repeated year, up to a maximum of -1.5),

- the score obtained in carrying out the practical test (expressed in tenths),

- the score assigned by the Graduation Commission during the discussion of the thesis (expressed in tenths).

The Commission therefore has at its disposal:

to. up to a maximum of 10 points to be attributed to the thesis of a theoretical-applicative-experimental nature;

b. up to a maximum of 10 points for the practical test;

c. up to a maximum of 100 points for the curriculum (excluding the score for honors and the reduction for repeated years).

The overall grade, determined by the sum of the scores provided for by items "a-c", is rounded up or down to the nearest whole number. Honors can be awarded with the unanimous opinion of the Commission to candidates who achieve a final score ≥ 110. The Commission will meet to decide the score to be attributed to each individual candidate. The participation of Speakers/Co-Speakers with the right to speak but not to vote will be permitted in the meeting. The President of the course of study will proclaim the graduating students by communicating the degree mark obtained.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

After passing the qualifying test for the profession, the graduating student will present his work, in front of the specially appointed Commission, through a power point presentation lasting about 10 minutes. At the end of the discussion of the thesis, the Commission and/or the Supervisors / Co-supervisors will be able to ask in-depth questions on the work presented.

The candidate must demonstrate that he has acquired the skills set out and explained in the SUA form, section A4 (a-b-c-d).

FURTHER INFORMATION

The graduation exam focuses on the discussion of a thesis elaborated in an original way by the student under the guidance of a supervisor at a University or external structure; if the supervisor is external to the University, a co-supervisor of the Study Course must be indicated.
