It is expected that the student be familiar with basic math, the experimental method, the main physical quantities, both fundamental and derived, and units. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The course of Physics deals with the basic concepts and the fundamental laws of mechanic and electromagnetism in vacuum. A particular attention is paid to the understanding of the importance and the limits of the employed models. TEACHING METHODS Frontal lessons and practice. The exam is unique and will deal with both the first (Mechanics, I semester) and second (Electromagntism in vacuum, II semester) module. ASSESSMENT METHODS The written part of the exam can be acquired following one of the two methods: a) Complete test two mechanics exercises + two EM exercises admission to the oral part of the exam only if the mark is ≥ 12/30 available only on official dates. The student is allowed to repeat the complete test but the previous result will then be cancelled If the student retires, the previous mark will be lowered by 1/30 b) Partial tests two partial test on mechanics (two exercises, end of first semester) and on EM (two exercise, end of second semester) admission to the oral part of the exam only if both marks are ≥ 12/30 Oral exam The first question will be chosen by the student among one of the topics covered in the course (either on mechanics or EM) Exam schedule Data appello Orario Luogo Degree type Note 09/01/2025 09:00 GENOVA Scritto + Orale 06/02/2025 09:00 GENOVA Scritto + Orale 06/02/2025 09:00 GENOVA Scritto + Orale 05/06/2025 09:00 GENOVA Scritto + Orale 03/07/2025 09:00 GENOVA Scritto + Orale 04/09/2025 09:00 GENOVA Scritto + Orale
