The aim of the course is, then, to offer to the student a general teaching in Clinical and, partially, Experimental Neurosciences, so to give the basis for a general practitioner but also the opportunity of develop a specific interest in the disciplines. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES Learning of the main neurological diseases. The student must be able to recognize the pathophysiological bases and clinical manifestations of the main neurological diseases and their complications. Furthermore, the student will have to be able to establish a diagnostic procedure and prognosis. The course also provides for the development of specific clinical skills and includes professional activities. PREREQUISITES Knowledge of the Anatomy and Physiology of the CNS and PNS. Bases of pathophysiology and mechanisms of damage (immunological, genetic, degenerative, oncological, vascular) TEACHING METHODS Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, shall reach out to the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liase and arrange the specific teaching methods and ensure proper achievement of the learning aims and outcomes.
