You are going to see patients with a variety of medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, CKD, CAD, HF or COPD (or a combination of these) and you feel unsure on what to do, which drugs you should be prescribing and how? This course will enable you to understand, deal with and appropriately manage the most common clinical situations and prescribe or modify treatment as needed. AIMS AND CONTENT AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES To know the conditions most frequently encountered in clinical practice, the pathophysiological basis of their treatment To apply pharmacological knowledge to real life clinical conditions in the setting of multi morbidities. TEACHING METHODS ·Plenary lessons (with interactive clinical cases) 80% Seminars (20%) Compulsory attendance Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, shall reach out to the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liase and arrange the specific teaching methods and ensure proper achievement of the learning aims and outcomes.
