This second part is treated in collaboration with a professional figure with extensive expertise, to give a more practical vision of the cosmetic supply chain, and of related problems. The final aim is to bring the students as close as possible to the cosmetic world to measure their skills. The course is carried out through frontal teaching. Students are provided with the slides presented and explained, to be integrated with their notes. Textbooks are recommended but not required. At the end of the program there will be a session of exam simulations and team work with case studies AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The aim is to provide specific skills related to the cosmetic products with particular attention to the study of ingredients, formulative problems, cosmetic bioactivity, skin-cosmetic interactions, human and environmental safety. The Regulatory aspects are related to the production and commerce of the cosmetic products according to European COsmetic Regulation 1223/09 AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES Through the knowledge of all the classes of ingredients and through the study of the different cosmetic forms, it is intended to lead the student to move in the cosmetic field in an autonomous, professional and critical way thanks to the tools useful to distinguish and evaluate the different products on the market, taking informations by the correct approach to the label. The course also intends to provide the necessary skills to access to any subsequent further studies and advanced training courses. The concepts of regulation, industrial ecology, GMP and safety assessment are an added value of great importance in a sector where regulatory aspects are essential. Questions may consider the entire program. The student is required to: demonstrate to have learned the concepts of the program and dealt with during the lectures; present notions with a critical spirit; employ appropriate scientific language and use of relevant terminology; show the ability to connect matter with related subjects.
