AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course aims at providing students with the in-depht knowledge the main pathophysiological conditions as well as the immunopatholgical disorders. The deep knowledge provided in this course will be fundamental for the full understanding of laboratory medicine and then in the activities in clinical and experimental laboratories.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The full knowledge of the pathophysiological alterations and immune system pathologies allows to understand the fundamentals of laboratory medicine, facilitating the interpretation of clinical data in the context of the organ/apparatus dysfunctions. This knowledge, complemented by the knowledge of the pathogenetic mechanisms of diseases acquired in the first module of the annual teaching, prepares future professionals in clinical/diagnostic and research laboratories.

TEACHING METHODS

48 hours of lectures with multimedia presentations.

Students who have valid certification of physical or learning disabilities on file with the University and who wish to discuss possible accommodations or other circumstances regarding lectures, coursework and exams, should speak both with the instructor and with Professor Sara Ferrando (sara.ferrando@unige.it), the Department’s disability liaison.
