AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The course aims to provide basic knowledge on planning tools, laws, and the resulting procedures that are customary in the ordinary practice of the civil environmental engineer. The course also wants to focus the main institutional responsibilities on land management at different levels of relevance. It also intends to provide a first approach to technical-methodological problems of small-scale, application of the content above exposed. AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES The urban planning module intends to present to the student the basic knowledge on urban planning plans and tools at urban and territorial level. The course also aims to sensitize students to priority issues at an urban and territorial level present in the urban plans (green, regeneration, ..). At the end of the course, the student will be able to analyze urban plans, both of ordinary planning and of sector tools, at the different reference scales. The module intends to enhance the acquisition of soft skills: personal and social knowledge and the ability to learn to learn. TEACHING METHODS The teaching (50 hours) consists of lectures and some laboratory lessons, with the preparation of some elaborations developed by small groups of students. SYLLABUS/CONTENT The course program includes the presentation and discussion of the following topics: - Framework of urban planning tools. - Urban plans: PRG - General Town Plan, PTC - Provincial and PTM plan - Metropolitan plan, PTR - Regional Territorial Plan. Municipal urban plans in the various Italian regions -The implementation plans: PP, PZ, PIP, PR. -Law 457/78 and the recovery interventions in the city. Recovery concept. RES, REP, RUB. -The building permit -The complex national programs: PI, PRU, PRIU and PRUSST and the POI in the Liguria region. -The soil defense and the basin plan in Italy. -The basin plan in Liguria. - Notes on the Environmental Code (Legislative Decree 152/2006). - Mentions of the Landscape Plan and landscape protection - Mentions of the Park Plan and naturalistic protection. - Introduction to sustainable mobility. Main tools. The teaching also contributes to the achievement of the following Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda: SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being SDG 11 – Make Cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable SDG 13 – Climate change and its impact SDG 15 – Life on land. The elaborations carried out during the Laboratory are evaluated during the oral exam and contribute to the final grade of the exam. There will be 3 exam sessions for the winter session (January-February-March) and 3 exam sessions for the summer session (June, July and September). During the lesson period, extraordinary sessions for students outside the course can be agreed with the teachers. ASSESSMENT METHODS The main purpose of the exam is to evaluate the students' ability to know how to operate and subsequently analyze urban plans at different levels of scale. The ability to describe exam topics clearly and with appropriate terminology will also be assessed.
