The theoretical and practical experiences carried out in the modules help to understand the relationships between Design and the transformation of behaviours and the environment. In general, they lead to acquiring an awareness of the design process. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The Contemporary Design course will stimulate the students to focus on the analysis of emerging themes in the world of contemporary design and temporary design. They will focus in particular on the social dimension of design, the driver of development for new models, strategies, services, products or events that can play a decisive role in the evolution and transformation of society, culture and identity. In the Product Design module, the students will develop a real project from the research phase to the physical realization of the model/prototype. The aim of the course is to make students aware of the development of the design of our time, featured by globalization, the increasing impact of new technologies, from low production, the widening of the boundaries of the discipline and opportunities but also by the loss of clear connotations; it is also proposed to stimulate students to the critical awareness of the relationship between design and socio-economic reality in today's situation.
