AIMS AND CONTENT

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The aim of the module is to develop the ability to take an anamnesis of a context, the skills to make a diagnosis, the creativity to identify a possible cure, i.e. the ability to make knowledge and intuition coexist in a landscape project that has strong ecological connotations and responds to precise environmental issues. 

TEACHING METHODS

The course consists of theoretical lectures, seminars and site visits to support the design exercise; the latter will be conducted by groups of two or more students and its progress will be evaluated in the form of discussions and reviews with the teachers.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The contents of the lectures, seminars and technical visits concern the complexity of landscape design in contexts characterised by evident or latent environmental problems, the development of specific analysis methodologies and design tools to redesign and redefine waste places, abandoned areas or areas characterised by difficult ecological and/or urban conditions.

The examination will consist of a discussion of the design drawings. 

ASSESSMENT METHODS

Design drawings in uni A1 format (42.0 cm x 59.4 cm) with the following contents will be evaluated:
