Students with certification of Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), disabilities, or other special educational needs are encouraged to contact the instructors at the beginning of the course to arrange teaching methods that, while respecting the course objectives, take into account individual learning styles and provide appropriate compensatory tools. SYLLABUS/CONTENT Use of spreadsheets Creation of tables and databases for managing and analyzing research data Extraction of relevant statistical descriptors Data processing and analysis (e.g., correlation measures and statistical significance analysis) Tools for bibliographic research Tools for graphical representation of data and dissemination of results LESSONS LESSONS START The lessons will take place in the first semester. As per the Study Program's Academic Rules, exams can only be scheduled during the designated periods known as exam sessions. Students with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) or other certified special educational needs can arrange an alternative exam modality by contacting Professors Costagli and Girtler at least 10 days before the exam. ASSESSMENT METHODS The exam will cover the topics discussed in class and will assess the student's ability to use computer tools in the context of a practical example. Students who do not achieve a score on the test of at least 18 points out of 30 will not pass the exam.
