To provide basic knowledge and tools for the access to the sector of "Maritime transport auxiliaries" (Ship Agents, Ship Brokers, Ship Managers). The professional profile thus trained will be able to deal with the companies that daily face the changes in the activity of maritime-port logistics.
The course aims to provide the basic knowledge as well as the essential tools for professional access to the maritime transport auxiliaries sector operating mainly, but not exclusively, in large port cities.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
The course, based on a managerial approach, aims to analyze the operations and strategies of companies operating in the maritime sector. The course focuses on the main theoretical concepts and perspectives related to transport demand and segmentation, the implementation and management of transport capacity, marketing, as well as competitive and growth strategies. Additional emphasis will be placed on multinational companies operating in the transport sector, diversifying risk and their activity portfolio.

SHIP AGENCY AND MANAGEMENT

The student may attend all exam sessions.
The exam is conducted orally and consists of two or three questions related to the course topics. An alternative exam method, to be determined during the lesson, is possible for attending students.
