The purpose of the course is providing the students with a technical knowledge of English for Economics, Finance and Business and a proper knowledge of the main theories and models for financial markets. Special focus will be on comparing data with the predictions of the theories.
Attendance is strongly recommended.
The course of Economics of Financial Markets, taught in Italian, has the specific aim of providing the students both with theoretical and technical knowledge on the working of financial markets, with specific focus on the most recent theories and the debate among the different streams of thought. Specific attention will be dedicated to the impact of monetary policies on financial markets, to the creation and propagation of expectations and their impact on financial assets and their time structure.
The module ENGLISH FOR BUSINESS, ECONOMICS AND FINANCE wil provide the students with the language skills to professionally interact with professional operators in finance, banking and monetary sectors
The module ENGLISH FOR BUSINESS, ECONOMICS AND FINANCE will enable students to actively interact with professional experts in the field.
The module ECONOMIA DEI MERCATI FINANZIARI mod. 2 will enable students to interpret and technically construct the main modelling tools in the topic.
Undergraduate courses of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics or, alternatively, at least a 9-credits course in Economics containing both Microeconomics and Macroeconomics.

The exam methods are those indicated for each of the two modules: "English for Business, Economics and Finance" and "Economia dei Mercati Finanziari Mod. 2 (Economics of Financial Markets Mod. 2). The overall mark is given by the average mark obtained in the two modules.
Each of the two modules, "English for Business, Economics and Finance" and "Economia dei Mercati Finanziari (Economics of Financial Markets)" has its own assessments methods and the final mark is given by the average mark for each of the two (6 credits) modules.
