The course "MODELS AND TOOLS FOR AUTOMATION AND CONTROL" consists of two modules of 6 CFU each:
Discrete Event Systems Introduces the concepts and tools for modeling and analyzing dynamic systems in which the state changes when triggered by the occurrence of discrete events. These systems, called discrete-event systems, are common in various application domains and are studied to understand their behavior and control their evolution.
Software Tools for Automation Aims to integrate the theoretical knowledge of automation with the practical use of software tools. The goal is to provide operational skills to address and solve automatic control problems using appropriate computer tools.
Prerequisites for the course include basic mathematical tools (calculus, linear algebra), skills and knowledge acquired in previous courses in Controls, fundamental concepts related to random variables and stochastic processes.
Ricevimento: It is possible to meet the professor, on request, at different times.
Ricevimento: Students reception can take place at the beginning or ending of any lecture. Additionally, specific appointments can be fixed by email with a few working days of advance.
