OVERVIEW

The course is divided into two parts. The first part is devoted to a historical-theoretical mapping of the categories of the human in contemporary philosophical anthropology. The second part focuses on care philosophy.

 

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course intends to explore issue of human nature, for reflection and reasoning concerning the relationship between man and nature, man and culture, etc. The main goals are: - Explore the most important philosophical anthropology's issues and its historical views - Explain the difference between philosophical approach and human sciences methodology - Understand issues and anthropological involvments in educational contexts and develop guideline for action, consistent wiht critical thiking.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of the course, the student should:

1. know the essential questions inherent to the "human condition"

2. know the theoretical positions developed throughout history and the current philosophical debate around these issues

3. grasp the ontological and ethical aspects inherent to care in the experience of the human being

4. to be able to problematise the issues discussed, to take a position on them and to coherently argue the reasons for the position taken

The achievement of these learning objectives promotes the acquisition and/or enhancement of some important transversal competences: functional literacy, personal and social competence, learning to learn.

PREREQUISITES

There are no specific requirements to stay at classroom.

 

TEACHING METHODS

The teacher establishes a specific class agreement with attending students who undertake in active partecipation working, in groups in laboratory mode. Learning monitoring activities and specific forms of certification and training evaluation are planned for them.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The course intends to explore human’s issue and some of philosophical skills:

There are three parts:

1. The human nature: topics and issues

2. The relationship and the philosophy of care

3. The essence and the topics of human action

The course pursues these objectives of the UN Agenda 2030 for  Sustainable Development:

- Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being

- Goal 4: Quality Education
