Sociology of Citizenship focuses on the transformation of citizenship in contemporary societies. In both parts of the course, the current sociological debate on citizenship will be analysed and the concept of citizenship will be problematized in specific areas of childhood and migration. Special attention will be given to: the debate on citizenship beyond the nation-state, the debate on agency practices and skills, the emergence of new domains of rights, the main theories and researches around gender, childhood, migration and citizenship.
