In line with this objective, the topics covered are as follows: International Vision Rehabilitation Standards (IVRS): international guidelines developed to ensure quality, consistency, and accessibility of visual rehabilitation services; Designing the rehabilitation project for visually impaired children and adults and their comprehensive, multidisciplinary care; Rehabilitation techniques for visual impairment: techniques for stabilizing fixation (particularly microperimetric biofeedback and its neurophysiological basis), mobility techniques in the environment, learning techniques for school-age children, techniques for integration into the professional and social context; Clinical case studies. By the end of the course, students will have acquired knowledge of international visual rehabilitation guidelines; they will be able to structure rehabilitation interventions based on the individual's personal needs, the type and degree of visual impairment, and the patient's age; they will be able to outline and design an individualized rehabilitation plan and implement appropriate rehabilitation strategies.
