AIMS AND CONTENT

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

1- Develop and implement a basic care plan for obstetric-gynecological patients or not, including those who are not or partially self-sufficient, including the production and use of related checklists.
2- Develop communication skills during obstetric and non-obstetric emergencies.
3- Develop a knowledge of how to communicate in perinatal bereavement.

In obstetric emergencies, training healthcare workers is particularly important.
Training provides an opportunity to share interventions that can be implemented in various scenarios and to hone both technical and scientific skills as well as communication and interpersonal skills.

TEACHING METHODS

During lessons we will do exercises, simulations and/or group work, we can watch videos and/or have guided discussions.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

- Communication: definition, elements of communication, function and types of communication. Structure and properties of human communication
- Perinatal bereavement: clinical and psychopathological aspects
- Definitions of emergency/urgency
- Communication in emergency situations
- Communication in managing stress following a critical event: an overview of emergency psychology
- Development of an emergency communication protocol
- Providing quality, equitable, and inclusive education and learning opportunities for all
- Achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls
