At the end of the course, the students will be able to:
Frontal lesson, brainstorming, role-playing and small groups activities.
Students with valid certifications for Specific Learning Disorders (DSA) are invited to contact the teacher and the School/Department disability.
1. Course presentation and objectives. Basic elements for organizing childbirth course: management methodologies, guidelines. Work in small groups.
2. How to engage the group: communication styles and activating strategies. Responding to women's requests and the role of the partner in labor and delivery. Massage and body relaxation techniques (visualizations, acupressure and analgesic positions).
3. Postpartum meeting: the newborn and breastfeeding. parenting and postpartum support. Parenting information (mutual aid groups, baby- led-weaning and infant massage). Strategies for evaluating childbirth course.
This teaching contributes to the achievement of the following Sustainable Development Goals of the ONU Agenda 2030:
Goal 4. Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all Goal 5. Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls
