AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

Knowing the physiology of sexual response, understanding the differences in context, deconstructing widespread stereotypes and working on the concept of "normality" that sometimes confuses what medicine identifies as pathological and physiological
The midwife, whose primary task is to protect gender health, cannot fail to be aware of these issues and basic skills on sexual response adapted to different settings.

TEACHING METHODS

Frontal lectures supported by slides.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

What is meant by the term “sexuality”, where does the knowledge we have today come from.
Gender identity, gender roles and sexual orientation.
Insights into the functioning of sexual response in contexts such as pregnancy, abortion, postpartum, breastfeeding, PMA and menopause.
Hints of sexual education with adolescents and interactions with contraception.
Hints of the right to sexuality
