Acquisition of foundational concepts related to psychodynamic psychotherapy, along with the ability to assess the appropriateness of this therapeutic approach for individual patients.

Part I: Foundations of Dynamic Psychology: historical premises; the concept of conflict; unconscious processes; anxiety and psychic pain; defense mechanisms; motivational drives; developmental stages; overview of models of the mind; therapeutic relationships. Part II: Clinical Psychotherapy: elements of psychotherapy; levels and depth of psychotherapeutic intervention; therapeutic alliance; interpretation and insight; transference and countertransference; the therapeutic setting.

Evaluation of the level of acquired knowledge and communication skills through an oral examination.
