AIMS AND CONTENT

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course aims to make the student acquire the pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic fundamentals that characterize the pharmacological profile and mechanism of action of drugs. The principles that form the rational basis of drug therapy in relation to neuropsychiatric disorders , and possess the necessary tools to evaluate pharmacological approaches, drug activity and side effects will also be explained.

TEACHING METHODS

Teaching of pharmacology will be performed by frontal lessons, Total CFU are 6 (60 hours).

Students with valid certifications for Specific Learning Disorders (SLDs), disabilities or other educational needs are invited to contact the lecturer and the School/Departmental Disability Liaison at the beginning of the course to agree on teaching modalities that, while respecting the teaching objectives, considering individual learning patterns.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

The end-of-course examination aims to assess the achievement of the teaching objectives of Pharmacology and to integrate it with the other teachings of the C.I.

Oral examination.

The teacher verifies the achievement of the learning objectives by asking questions pertaining to the program carried out during lessons.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The exam covers the topics covered in the lectures with the aim of assessing the acquisition of knowledge related to the basics of pharmacological principles active on the ocular system, their possible side effects, in acute and chronic disease situations. Also assessed is the ability to go in-depth, the use of correct terminology and the faculty to expound the subject matter simply and clearly.

They contribute to the final grade expressed in thirtieths:

- Ability to deal cross-culturally and critically with the required topics;

- Correctness, clarity, synthesis and fluency of exposition;

- Mastery of the subject matter;

- Adoption of appropriate terminology.
