OVERVIEW

The course aims to develop the history of sailing in parallel with society, habits and customs from the post-war period to today.
Particular attention will be paid to the way shipowners approach the management and use of the vessel

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course aims to analyze the evolution of the pleasure boat in relation to the evolution and socio-political changes of society.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The educational objective of the course is to provide the student with the tools to tackle nautical design with awareness of the evolution of forms and interior fittings in relation to the transformation of society. In practice, knowing how to read contemporary society and future expectations for conscious design.
The expected results are those of an advanced understanding of the evolution of boats over time to approach design with full awareness of the role and positioning of the product in contemporary society.

The course is divided into 12 lessons of 4 hours each.

Presentation of the most significant boats from the post-war period to today, evolution of shipyards, history of shipowners who have significantly influenced Italian and world sailing
