CODE 72343 ACADEMIC YEAR 2025/2026 CREDITS 6 cfu anno 3 INGEGNERIA MECCANICA 8720 (L-9) - GENOVA SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINARY SECTOR ING-IND/17 LANGUAGE Italian TEACHING LOCATION GENOVA SEMESTER 2° Semester MODULES Questo insegnamento è un modulo di: TECHNICAL AND ECONOMICAL FUNDAMENTALS OF INDUSTRIAL PLANTS TEACHING MATERIALS AULAWEB OVERVIEW The course aims to introduce students to the technical and regulatory reality of industrial plants. Particular attention is paid to the design of systems for the transport of materials. Design procedures aimed at creating functioning systems and sizing and/or selecting from a catalog their main constituent components will be exposed and applied. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES Creating base for industrial plants engineer able to integrate designing and economics-management aspects over the entire lifecycle of complex plants. Thus the learning process is based on general feasibility studies allowing to define, through different phases, useful elements for designing, construction and operation of the system. The course aims to provide the mechanical engineering students a systemic approach, techniques and methodologies widely adopted in industrial context. AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES The course aims to provide students with basic knowledge and general and design tools aimed at addressing choices and assessments of technical suitability in order to address issues of mechanical systems and internal transport related to discrete and continuous production realities. The assessment of the design learning objectives and general knowledge of the discipline is carried out through profit exams, appropriately calibrated to verify the achievement of the training objectives.
