The course illustrates the basic notions regarding the theory of dynamical systems, including the different system representations and the evaluation of the main properties. Some basics about estimation and control of dynamical systems will be also provided.
The course aims at introducing the basic notions regarding the theory of dynamical systems, their formal representation, their structural properties, the concepts of feedback and state estimation.
There are no specific requirements.
Ricevimento: Students may contact the professor by Teams o by email (silvia.siri@unige.it).
The exam is oral.
For students who have valid certifications for Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), for disabilities or other educational needs the professor identifies the specific modalities and supports for the exam, that will be determined on a case-by-case basis in agreement with the contact person for disabilities of the Polytechnic School.
Foreign students are allowed to take the exam in English.
The exam aims to verify the following aspects about the knowledge of the student: - knowledge regarding the main characteristics and properties of dynamic systems and the design of simple regulators and state observers; - ability to apply this knowledge to numerical examples and simple physical systems. - ability to analyse the impact of the obtained solution on the systems and to make sensitivity analyses
The evaluation of the exam will consider not only the knowledge of the contents addressed in the course but also the reasoning and critical analysis skills of the student, as well as his/her capability to use a technical lexicon appropriate for the context.
