Upon completion of the course, students should be able to apply theoretical and practical knowledge and

possess the skills required for the respective roles in the various professional fields, in compliance with the rules of conduct set forth in the professional code of ethics.

TEACHING METHODS

Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, shall reach out to the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liase and arrange the specific teaching methods and ensure proper achievement of the learning aims and outcomes.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

The learning assessment consists of a PowerPoint presentation and dissertation of a project on the valorization of the role and skills of the Dietitian;

ASSESSMENT METHODS

Learning assessment is conducted through a final exam, which aims to verify the student's actual achievement of the expected learning outcomes. Class attendance, participation, and participation in role-playing exercises will be taken into account.

To pass the exam, and therefore achieve

a grade of at least 18/30, students must demonstrate:

Knowledge of the laws pertaining to the profession, the growth and professionalization of healthcare professions and the dietitian profession, the concepts of autonomy, responsibility, and competence, the professional profile, the code of ethics, the ANDID (National Association of Dietitians), ASAND, the professional fields of the dietitian, the role of the dietitian in Europe and beyond, training and qualifications, and the ECM system.
Be able to apply theoretical and practical knowledge related to the role of the profile in the various fields of professional activity, in compliance with the rules of conduct contained in the profession's code of ethics.
The following factors contribute to the final grade, expressed out of 30:

Ability to address the required topics in a transversal and critical manner;
Accuracy, clarity, synthesis, and fluency of presentation;
Mastery of the subject matter;
Adoption of appropriate terminology.
A grade of 30/30 with possible honors will be awarded for excellent knowledge/skills in the subject matter.
