At the end of the course the student will be able to decide which radiological exam is the most approriate for the study of different neurological diseases. She/He will understand principles of radioprotection and their importance in the selection of the radiological studies. She/he will understand the role of different neuroradiological studies in guiding clinical management of patients, in particular in the setting of neurological emergencies, including acute stroke. She/He will be able to describe the radiological findings of the most common neurological diseases. TEACHING METHODS Oral presentations Small groups workshops. During the workshops clinical cases will be analyzed in an interactive manner with analysis of CT, MRI and angiography images; there will be emphasis on the analysis of CT images. Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, shall reach out to the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liase and arrange the specific teaching methods and ensure proper achievement of the learning aims and outcomes.
