The internship program is divided into specific sectors in periods that include a one to three week stay. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES Acquire practical skills inherent in a basic laboratory: management of biological samples, treatments, conservation, manual and IT acceptance management of automatic sorting systems, use of LIS systems use and management of blood coagulation analyzers, microscopy. The anthropology of health has the objective of making known the connection between the concepts of health, environment and care by combining the medical-biological needs with the numerous cultural solicitations that act before and during the disease. The acquisition of an "anthropological gaze" also allows us to give due consideration to the non-biological determinants of the disease. Provide basic psychological knowledge related to the relationship between healthcare professional, patient and patient's family. Starting from interpersonal relationships, the main theories relating to language, verbal and non-verbal, and its use in the communicative field are proposed, underlining the dangers associated with the dissonances between communicative intention and effective communication with particular attention to the operator-patient and operator- family members; provide a summary of the distinctive characteristics of the sociological gaze, to then apply it to the relationships between the various players in the health system. It proposes the main approaches through which health and disease have been studied and the relationship between health professionals, patients and health facilities. It then explores the theme of communication and its relations with the healthcare organization that produces health. PREREQUISITES nobody EXAMS EXAM DESCRIPTION Verification of the ability to carry out laboratory tests with a description of the methods of carrying out and of the purposes of the test for clinical-diagnostic investigations ASSESSMENT METHODS Verification of the ability to carry out laboratory tests with a description of the methods of carrying out and of the purposes of the test for clinical-diagnostic investigations. Students with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, shall reach out to the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to arrange the specific teaching methods and ensure proper achievement of the learning aims and outcomes.
