The course of Mycobacteriology aims to deepen the techniques of reserch of mycobacteria and the main stains.
The methods of sample preparation ,the measures and individual safety devices and the instrument necessary for the analysis are introduced .
the different methods of identification of mycobacteria are described , the drug sensitivity test and the solidand liquid media for culture. Antibiotic resistance . Microscopy and slide reading.
The course of Microbiology techniques goes to deepen the diagnostic techniques for microbiological analysis.
solid and liquid media and their main characteristics.
Stain, microscopy and reading of the slide under examination
Biochemical and serological tests of the different bacterial species individual and collective safety devices, biological hoods .

MICROBIOLOGICAL TECHNIQUES
the various modules/courses that make up the "Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology" program constitute a single integrated course, whose final assessment is carried out through a single exam.
The exam is based on 5 oral tests, one for each of the modules/courses, which must be taken on the same day.
Assessment and passing the exam:
A candidate who scores less than 18 in any of the 5 tests will be automatically failed and will need to retake the entire exam.
The exam is considered passed if the candidate achieves a score of at least 18 in all assessment tests.
In this case, the final grade of the exam will be the weighted average of the five individual scores.
During the exam, the regulations regarding the assessment of students with certified DSA or other educational needs indicated by the university will be respected.
(e.g., additional time for written exams, use of concept maps to be reviewed and approved by the instructors at least one week before the exam date)
The student's preparation will be assessed through an oral exam (a written exam will be administered on the subject whose teacher may exceptionally be absent).
The minimum requirements to pass the mycobacteriology exam are knowledge of sample preparation methods and identification methods
The basic elements of the subject must be known in order for the exam to be considered sufficient
