The main aspects of infectious diseases, their prevention andtheir transmission will be treated. The main anti-infective drugs will be described, addressing the aspects inherent to sensitivity and diagnostic tests. Finally, the laboratory techniques applied to the first intervention and the essential clinical semeiology will be described. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES Know the principles of general pharmacology: parameters pharmacokinetics biological monitoring drug-induced alteration of laboratory parameters drug interactions ways of transmitting infectious diseases prevention of infectious diseases. Acquire notions: diagnostics (cultural, molecular, microscopic) on antibiotics and evaluation of susceptibility tests on the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of antibiotics (killing, post-antibiotic effect) and blood dosages. To acquire knowledge on the application of laboratory techniques to first aid and essential clinical semeiology. The Infectious Diseases training plan provides for the acquisition of basic notions of the complex interaction between viruses/bacteria/protozoa vs human host. With particular regard to emerging pathologies, for example SARS-CoV-2, HIV, Monkeypox. Also will be interpreted ed analyzed the phenomenon of antibiotic resistance and our weapons provision to contain it Toxicity of antiblastic drugs, storage and preparation of antiblastic drug in hospital pharmacy departments (UFA); processing of the antiblastic drug under hood and use of PPE required by current legislation.
