LEARNING OUTCOMES

This teaching addresses the specific problems of sport in its community and social realities, From school age to the sporting phenomena of adulthood.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course examines the main socio-cultural, affective and cognitive processes involved in social behaviors, considering topics such as the construction of social knowledge, the self-concept, social representations, communication, mechanisms of social influence, interpersonal interaction, group processes, in a prospettive linked to sports practice

Students, at the end of the course, will be able to:

• define the key constructs of the discipline
• link the learned constructs
• identify the main reference theories of the discipline
• identify the main methods and instruments of action in this field
• link theoretical knowledge to real application contexts
• use the theories learned to analyze a case.

TEACHING METHODS

The course provides an active teaching mode, theoretical contents supplemented by some practical exercises.

Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, should contact the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liaise and arrange the specific teaching methods so that the learning aims and outcomes may be met.

• the social influence
• the European Commission has published a report on the European Union’s social dimension.
