The integrated course of General Sports Psychology includes the study of the following modules:
The teaching module of Psychology of development and education lays the foundations of this disciplinary area for the understanding of psychological processes that characterize the life of the athlete, the competitive moments, the dynamics of growth and the dynamics of groups. The educational module of Sport Psychology instead delves into the aspects more closely related to the dynamics of sports activity in its basic and competitive aspects. The teaching of social psychology addresses the peculiar and specific problems of sport in its community and social realities, from school age to the sporting phenomena of adulthood. Clinical issues find a moment of depth in the didactic module dedicated to Clinical Psychology, The aim of this course is to address the psychological and psychopathological dynamics surrounding the world of sport, complementing the global knowledge imparted in this important integrated teaching.
Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, should contact the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liaise and arrange the specific teaching methods so that the learning aims and outcomes may be met.
