OVERVIEW

The First Aid course, conducted by instructors from the Italian Red Cross, aims primarily to bring people of all backgrounds closer to emergency response without the use of medical equipment.
Participants are first provided with the tools to make an effective emergency phone call—an essential step for ensuring the successful intervention of trained professionals arriving at the scene of an accident or sudden illness.
Among the topics covered in the program, particular emphasis is placed on the methods for recognizing and responding to cardiac arrest, airway obstruction, and bleeding.
At the end of the course, participants are able to intervene in the event of an accident or medical emergency in a knowledgeable and safe manner, avoiding harm and compensating for the lack of medical tools by using everyday objects.
