The course aims to provide students with in depth knowledge relating to chemistry, properties and technologies of the elements of the main groups and materials of technological interest, with basic notions on the processes of obtaining and transforming metals and phase diagrams.
At the end of the course, students will be able to discuss the structure, properties and reactivity of elements, compounds and materials of technological interest, applying the theory to calculations of different types, such as evaluations of solubility, colligative properties and so on. Detailed learning outcomes are described in the individual teaching module presentation.
