The teaching covers the basic elements related to electrical systems and industrial measurements.
The student will acquire the basic knowledge related to power systems with reference to civil, industrial and energy production sectors. The most common power system layouts shall be discussed including those related to renewables power plants and distribution systems. The student shall also learn basic elements of industrial measurements for electricity systems.
The student will acquire basic knowledge related to electrical power system engineering with reference to civil, industrial and power generation systems. The most frequent plant configurations used in renewable energy production systems, the general criteria for sizing electrical systems and the main operating configurations of electrical distribution systems will be introduced. The student will also acquire basic elements of industrial measurements related to the application contexts covered during the teaching unit.
The following background knowledge is necessary to effectively address the content of the teaching:
- principles of electrical engineering in single-phase and three-phase AC systems
Teaching consists of face-to-face lectures, totaling 24 hours.
The course covers the most frequent plant configurations used in renewable energy production systems, the broad criteria for sizing electrical systems, and the main operating configurations of electrical distribution systems.Basic element concepts of industrial measurements related to the application contexts described above will also be addressed.
