AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The teaching aims to provide theoretical and applied tools related to territorial and landscape education, useful both in the context of tourism valorisation and in the formal and informal educational processes

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

After the teaching, the student will be able to:

  • understand the meaning of basic geographic concepts (space, territory, landscape, environment);
  • understand the geographic and educational implications related to the contemporary tourism phenomenon;
  • understand the importance of geographic education in the context of processes of territory enhancement
  • critically analyze the relationship between geographic experience and tourism experience
  • interpret the role of landscape as a key factor in geographic education
  • interpret the role of tourism in environmental and landscape education

TEACHING METHODS

The teaching activities will be organised in order to encourage active learning on the part of the students, and for this reason there will be alternating moments of frontal, participatory and laboratory teaching.

For students with DSA certifications or specific disabilities, compensatory or dispensatory measures are ensured, while taking care of the acquisition of the skills and knowledge required for teaching.

Teaching will cover the following topics:

  • The key concepts of geography education
  • Critical introduction to the contemporary tourism phenomenon
  • Tourism and lterritorial education
  • Tourism and landscape education

Oral exam.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The oral exam will allow to evaluate:

  • the understanding of knowledge;
  • the development of skills useful for proposing territorial education projects;
  • the development of skills useful for analysing the contemporary tourism phenomenon in real contexts.

Evaluation criteria are:

  • the quality of the oral presentation;
  • the correct use of the appropriate vocabulary;
  • the ability of critical analysis, even on possible cases discussed.
