AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

Apply these techniques in light of the theoretical foundations of the psychology of learning. The classes will be interactive, and knowledge will be assessed through the ability to form study groups on agreed-upon topics.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

General objectives of the psychoeducational intervention: relapse prevention; strengthening the patient’s
skills in crisis management; improving the quality of life for the patient and their immediate family. Primary objectives (promoting awareness and understanding of the illness): 1. early recognition of symptoms; 2. adherence to
pharmacological treatment. Secondary objectives: 1. acceptance of the illness; 2. empowering the patient; 3. stress management
and lifestyle regulation; 4. reducing stigma, guilt, and feelings of isolation; 5. increasing
self-esteem and overall well-being.
Cognitive-Behavioral Rehabilitation Functional analysis. Parameters of psychiatric rehabilitation.
Habilitation vs. rehabilitation; the different levels of a rehabilitation program; life skills; analysis and description of the socio-
environmental levels of intervention; family burden
Behavioral theories and techniques; parameters of behavior; assessment forms for frequency, intensity,
duration, and latency; classical conditioning; critiques of classical conditioning
