AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES By the end of the workshop, participants will have acquired advanced skills in the use of digital tools (databases, corpora, AI, etc.) for documentary and terminological research within their specialist fields. AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES Upon completion of the course, participating students will be able to: - use the main multilingual terminology databases available on the web; - create their own working glossaries in accordance with ISO standards; - use lexical and corpus analysis tools; - use artificial intelligence for document and terminology research. PREREQUISITES None. TEACHING METHODS Classroom-based workshops and group work. SYLLABUS/CONTENT The workshop will cover the following topics: 1. Main approaches to terminology: history and critical analysis 2. Digital tools for terminology: databases and applications 3. Digital tools for corpus analysis and construction (concordances, lexical analysis) 4. The use of AI for the creation of specialised glossaries RECOMMENDED READING/BIBLIOGRAPHY Support materials will be provided during the workshop. ASSESSMENT METHODS The comprehensiveness and accuracy of the glossary will enable participants to assess the skills they have acquired during the workshop.
