Final project

For admission to the master's degree exam you must have obtained all the credits required by the teaching regulation of your degree course.

The final test consists of a discussion of a written dissertation (thesis),to the nominated Degree Commission, worked out individually with the support of one or more supervisors: among the supervisors, there should be at least one teacher of the Polytechnic School and/or of the Department of Civil, Chemical and Environmental Engineering.

The thesis may consist of either a project or a monographic research (theoretical or experimental) consistent with the subjects of the Master's degree.

The thesis should reveal the student's ability in relation to research and/or applicative issues.

The thesis should also reveal:

• adequate preparation in the disciplines characterizing the Master's degree
• correct use of sources and bibliography
• knowledge of a language of the European Union, with particular reference to technical-scientific terminology
• systematic and argumentative skills
• clarity in exposure
• design skills and experimental capacity
• critical capacity

The graduation thesis is a quite important step in your training process. It offers you the possibility to demonstrate your ability of applying the knowledge acquired to real case studies and of understanding new problems related to risk management.

The thesis:

• is elaborated autonomously
• must contain some original results
• can be based on experimental, numerical or theoretical activities
• can be carried out at the Laboratories of the University, in private or public companies or other public or private bodies, at a national or international level.

6. Fill out the questionnaire to evaluate your study course

Remember:

1. Check that you are current on your tax payments

2. Pay the stamp tax of € 16 for the issuance of the degree diploma (pay here)

3. Check that you have taken all your exams and training activities
4. Check that they are all marked on your online career no later than 15 days before the date of your graduation session

The final test is passed if you obtained a grade of not less than 66 points out of 110.
