The course in brief

Presentation

The course includes three curricula starting in the second year, to allow for articulated exit profiles on the pedagogical and educational sciences component, but also to reflect some of the differences inherent in the work contexts of the socio-pedagogical professional educator: in social and cultural settings, in contexts characterized by distress, deviance and cultural multiplicity, and in settings dedicated to early childhood.

Learning by doing

Laboratories and internships allow, respectively, to acquire operational skills related to different educational contexts and to gain experience in work areas specific to the socio-pedagogical professional educator.

Professional outlets

Professional socio-pedagogical educator, who works in public, private or third sector facilities with specializations in pedagogical, educational, training areas of intervention and who addresses his or her skills to individuals in different stages and ages of life.

Did you know that.

  • Employment rate of our graduates one year after graduation exceeds 75 percent
  • The budget law that came into effect on January 1, 2018, nationally recognizes the figures of the pedagogue and the socio-pedagogical professional educator
  • Our L-19 degree also features training for working in nurseries and other child care services

Contents

In accordance with the provisions of the Ministerial Decree establishing the L-19 class, graduates in Pedagogical and Educational Sciences are able to:

  • use theoretical and operational knowledge in Pedagogical and Educational Sciences
  • design, coordinate, manage and evaluate educational pathways for individuals and groups
  • prepare educational environments and foster teaching-learning processes.

These skills are aimed at the preparation of competent professionals in the fields of education and human training and the training of professionals who can analyze the needs of the territory.

The first year, common to the addresses, aims to provide basic knowledge in the areas of pedagogy, psychology, sociology, history-geography, philosophy, computer science and linguistics, which are then declined more specifically in the following two years.

The course includes compulsory internship and laboratory activities.

Dear students,
education and training represent the future of society and our communities. This course is intended to help you become education and training professionals in a wide variety of contexts and settings: very young children, troubled youth, adults looking for work, and many others. Good motivation is not enough to do these jobs. Motivation is necessary but, then, it is essential to learn, study, experiment, practice and grow in the educational professions that will bring you into contact with people expressing needs. Will you be able to listen, read and interpret those needs to provide effective educational responses? The course aims to help you along this path. Good work.
