Final project

What it is

In order to be admitted to the final examination, you must have duly attended the training activities and obtained the credits prescribed by the regulations.

The final examination consists of the presentation of a paper in front of a committee.

Guided by a lecturer, you will have to demonstrate your ability to study in depth a specific topic from among those addressed in your course of study or deal with the experience of your training placement.

You must agree on the topic with the supervisor and submit the title of your thesis at least 5 months before the date of delivery to the lecturer.

What to do to graduate

If you are an undergraduate, you must:

  1. Deposit the title of your thesis
  2. Choose the degree session
  3. .
  4. Fill out the AlmaLaurea questionnaire online
  5. Fill out the degree application online
  6. .
  7. In case you have books on loan, return them to the library
  8. .
  9. Fill out the assessment questionnaire for your degree.

Remember:

  1. Check that you are current on your tax payments
  2. .
  3. Pay the stamp duty of € 16 for the issuance of the degree certificate (payable via the online services - payment of fees and contributions)
  4. .
  5. Check that you have taken all the exams and educational activities
  6. Check that they are all marked on your online career no later than 15 days before the date of your graduation session

Evaluation

Your dissertation is examined by a dissertation committee, which grades it in hundredths of a second. The committee, appointed by the Director of the Department, has a maximum of 6 points to add to the weighted and rounded average of your examination grades (expressed in hundredths).

Of these 6 points:

  • 1 point is automatically awarded if you graduate
  • .
  • 1 point is automatically awarded if you have at least 3 exams in your CV passed with top marks and honours
  • 1 additional point can be awarded if you have at least 6 exams in your curriculum passed with top marks and honours
  • the remaining 3 points are at the disposal of the committee, which awards them based on the evaluation of the paper

If you have spent a period of study abroad under the Erasmus programme, you will also be awarded:

in the calculation of your degree grade
  • 1 point if you completed your studies within the first year out of the programme, provided that you obtained at least 12 CFU
  • during the Erasmus programme
  • 2 points if you have completed your studies abroad in progress, provided that during the Erasmus you have obtained at least 12 CFU
