The objective of the postgraduate course in Management for Energy and Environmental Transition (MEET) is to train future managers and make them experts of the energy and ecological transition. Thanks to their knowledge in the fields of economics, accounting, market assessment, and regulation, our graduates will be highly skilled professionals in corporate sustainability. The occupational profile is aligned with the new challenges of the energy and ecological transition, as defined by European and national strategies.

The course uses a variety of learning and teaching methods, mixing traditional, face-to-face, lectures with more innovative teaching techniques (e.g. flipped classroom, group works, remote teaching). Moreover, the course is characterized by:

• seminars with industry and academic experts
• software application and analyses
• internships and traineeships
• inclusive learning and peer to peer teaching, among which team working, laboratory experiences, and business case analysis will be prioritized.
   

Graduates will be experts in decision-making processes applied to the "energy and ecological transition", having had the opportunity to focus on different aspects of such phenomena (e.g. corporate sustainability, engineering, economics, management, quantitative aspects, law). In order to boost competences and to improve career perspectives, students will benefit from unique experiences developed with key stakeholders (e.g. energy companies, regulators, service providers).

The course, taught entirely in English, offers a unique experience to students that would like to become managers of the ongoing energy and environmental transition. Students will learn how energy markets are regulated and funded, as well as how companies are adapting their businesses to promote energy and environmental performances. To enhance the link between students and industry, all modules will be developed in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

In order to achieve its goals, the Master course promotes two distinct curricula that cover different approaches, knowledge, and skills:

• The “Management for Energy Industry” curriculum provides managerial and economic skills consistent with the problems of private businesses operating in the energy related supply chains
• The “Economics of Environmental Transition” curriculum trains future managers and experts capable of facilitating the transition of companies, administrations, and public institutions into more sustainable and energy efficient bodies.

With the aim of promoting employability and learn-by-doing skills, the course promotes practical activities as well as theoretical lectures. Moreover, in order to boost the link between students and the industry, a compulsory internship period is foreseen. Depending on the chosen curriculum, such period can be carried out in energy companies, public institutions, regulators or in other firms operating in interconnected sectors.
