The course in brief
Presentation
The Bachelor's Degree in Nautical Product Design trains the figure of the industrial designer in the nautical field, capable of working in companies, shipyards and technical studios independently or as part of a team, performing basic and executive design tasks or implementing the image of the shipyard. It also allows direct access to master's university courses in the area of design.
Learning by doing
Design has always been the professional activity that combines technical scientific knowledge with practical skills.
The designer ranks among the creative world, among artisans and makers, through project preparation that takes the form of building models, prototypes and mock-ups.
There will be teachings in the area of scientific-mathematical subjects, in the area of graphics and representation, in naval engineering, and in the history of design and architecture. The peculiarities of the nautical industry mean that the figure of the designer has basic knowledge of naval architecture, maritime art, navigation and safety at sea in addition to those specific to the category.
By participating in seminars, workshops and in-company internships you will experience teamwork and the complex relationship between product design and industrialization.
