Did you graduate abroad?

If you graduated abroad, your application for this Master's degree course must be pre-screened via UniGeApply, which has two different deadlines:

  • fall session from 26/11/2025 to 20/03/2026, for visa applicants
  • spring session for applicants already resident in Italy.

Applicants for visas must also apply for a study visa through the Universitaly.

Carefully consult the deadlines and the international registrations page of the Welcome Office.

Successing the entrance test, with the minimum score indicated in the admission notice, counts as verification of knowledge of at least level B2 of Italian, the minimum level required in order to enrol in a UniGe course of study in Italian.

Did you graduate in Italy?

In order to apply for admission and take the test, you must have obtained a degree belonging to class L-4 (Industrial Design) and L-17 (Architectural Sciences) of Ministerial Decree 270/2004 or to the corresponding class relating to Ministerial Decree 509/99, or hold an equivalent Italian or foreign degree.

You may also enrol with a degree in a different class, provided that you have acquired at least 45 University Educational Credits (CFU) in the Scientific Disciplinary Sectors (SSD) indicated:

  • ICAR/08 Construction Science
  • ICAR/09 Construction Technology
  • ICAR/12 Tecnologia dell'architettura
  • ICAR/13 Disegno industriale
  • ICAR/14 Architectural and urban composition
  • ICAR/16 Interior and interior design architecture
  • ICAR/17 Disegno
  • ICAR/18 Storia dell'architettura
  • ING-IND/01 Naval Architecture
  • ING-IND/02 Ship and Marine Plant Construction
  • ING-IND/11 Physics
  • ING-IND/15 Industrial Engineering Design and Methods
  • INF/01 Informatica
  • MAT/03 Geometria
  • MAT/05 Analisi matematica
  • MAT/08 Analisi numerica
  • FIS /01 Fisica sperimentale

N.B.Of the 45 CFUs mentioned above, at least 30 CFUs must have been acquired in the disciplinary scientific sectors ICAR/13, ICAR/14, ICAR/16, ICAR/17.

Admission to the competition is also subject to knowledge of a language of the European Community other than Italian, certified by your study plan or a certificate of at least level B1.

  • enrolment in a degree course class L-4 (Industrial Design) or L-17 (Architectural Sciences) of Ministerial Decree 270/2004 who have acquired at least 160 CFU
  • a knowledge of a language of the European Union in addition to Italian, certified by the degree course syllabus held or, alternatively, by an appropriate certificate of at least B1 level.

If you meet all the requirements, and are placed in a useful position in the rank list, you will be enrolled "under condition" until you obtain your degree.
N.B.The degree must be obtained by 31 March 2021.

You can enter the selection test even if you have yet to graduate, but you must meet the following curricular requirements:

If you have obtained the qualification required for admission at another university, you must upload in .pdf format, using the procedure set out in Article 3 of the admission notice and by the deadline, the documentation proving the examinations you have passed.

In order to allow the examining board to check, you must indicate the scientific discipline and university credits acquired for each examination.

The following table shows the number of examinations you have passed.

If you have obtained the qualification required for admission at another university, you must upload in .pdf format, using the procedure set out in Article 3 of the admission notice and by the deadline, the documentation proving the examinations you have passed.

  1. The registration to this Portal (if you have never been registered at the University of Genoa)
  2. The pre-registration: in the screen that will appear you will have to enter the credentials received with the registration (previous point)
  3. Registration confirmation

N.B. Pre-registration is equivalent to registration for the entrance test.

You can proceed with the confirmation of matriculation ONLY if you pass the entrance test successfully.
