Assessment of Adequacy of Personal Readiness

What it is

The assessment of the adequacy of personal preparation is meant to ascertain the possession of the necessary basic specialist knowledge for admission to the course.

How to access

To take the Personal Preparation Assessment, you must first complete the pre-enrolment procedure so that your name appears on the list of students required to sit the test.

If the test is successful, you will then need to confirm your enrolment.

There is no fee for pre-enrolment or for taking the assessment. Tuition fees and the regional tax are due only when you confirm your enrolment.

Note: Pre-enrolment and the Personal Preparation Assessment are free of charge. Tuition fees and the regional tax are payable only at the time of enrolment confirmation.

How it works

To be admitted to the tests, it is mandatory to:

  • request the evaluation of your requirements,
  • have completed all Bachelor’s exams (you may be missing only the final thesis),
  • complete the online pre-enrolment procedure.

You can enrol only after you have passed the test and obtained your Bachelor’s degree.

Module 1

This is a test designed to assess basic knowledge. It consists of a computer-based multiple-choice test held in the IT lab at the Department of Economics.

  • Format: 30 written questions, each with 4 answer options.
  • Time: 45 minutes.
  • Subjects: Commercial law, Applied economics, Accounting, Management, Corporate finance, Financial institutions and markets, Marketing, Mathematics, Financial mathematics, Micro- and macroeconomics, Human resource management, Statistics, Economic history.

Duration: 45 minutes.

Module 2

This is a test designed to assess in-depth knowledge of the key business, economics, and quantitative topics covered by the Master’s Degree in Management for Energy and Environmental Transition. It consists of an in-person written exam with open-ended questions.

    • Market segmentation (macro and micro)
    • Marketing mix (excluding product policy)
    • Decision-making processes
    • Organizational structures
    • Corporate culture
  • Economics area:

    • Competition models
    • IS-LM model
    • Balance of payments
  • Quantitative area:

    • Use of derivatives
    • Mean, median, standard deviation
    • Use of correlation
  • Law area:

    • Shares
    • Joint-stock company
    • Corporate governance bodies

Duration: 45 minutes.

Final Score

The final score will take into account the test grade. For candidates required to take both Modules, the final score will be the average of the two results.

The test can be repeated without limits.

The Personal Preparation Assessment (Module 1 and Module 2) takes place in July, September, November, and February, on the dates published each year on the Department’s website.

For the preparation of Module 1, you may use the textbooks suggested in the Module 1 Syllabus.

For the preparation of Module 2, please refer to the dedicated chapters/sections indicated in the Module 2 Syllabus.
